<\/p>

Il y a quelques dizaines d\u2019ann\u00e9es, lorsque l\u2019on voulait se rendre \u00e0 la Cabane du Trient, il fallait, en-dessous de la Cabane d\u2019Orny, atteindre le glacier pour le remonter jusqu\u2019au-dessus de la partie tr\u00e8s crevass\u00e9e. Ainsi, il fallait, pour se rendre au Trient, s\u2019\u00e9quiper pour le glacier\u00a0: piolet, crampons, baudrier et corde.<\/p>

Avec le retrait du glacier d\u2019Orny, il est d\u00e9sormais possible de rejoindre la Cabane du Trient sans avoir \u00e0 marcher sur le glacier. Il faut d\u2019ailleurs bien consulter la carte, car on aura tendance \u00e0 vouloir suivre une bonne trace descendant vers le glacier.<\/p>

Depuis la Cabane d\u2019Orny, il faut suivre une sente bien marqu\u00e9e qui contourne par une large boucle vers le nord le lac d\u2019Orny, pour traverser les pentes sous les Aiguilles Tourelles. Un petit passage \u00e0 travers l\u2019ancienne moraine est un peu d\u00e9licat et demande un bon \u00e9quilibre. Un peu plus loin, on c\u00f4toye un petit lac laiss\u00e9 par le glacier avant de grimper \u00e0 travers les roches moutonn\u00e9es. C\u2019est l\u00e0 le passage le plus d\u00e9licat\u00a0: il faut grimper une petite paroi donnant sur une vire. Plus haut, le sentier traverse au-dessus du glacier par un pas un peu a\u00e9rien (rappelant celui se trouvant proche de la Breya, mais sans la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation). On ne tarde pas \u00e0 contourner l\u2019angle et rejoindre la Cabane du Trient.<\/p>

Depuis la Cabane du Trient, il vaut la peine de monter \u00e0 la Pointe d\u2019Orny voisine. Certes, le terrain change, puisque l\u2019on n\u2019a plus de sentier mais il faut se frayer un chemin \u00e0 travers les gros blocs. Quelques vagues traces indiquent l\u2019itin\u00e9raire le plus facile. Au sommet, la vue est panoramique et r\u00e9compense l\u2019effort fourni.<\/p>
