Arniloch, oder auch Arni-Tobel genannt, ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel f\u00fcr alle, die mitten im Sommer ein bisschen Frische suchen. Tats\u00e4chlich ist diese Schlucht tief genug, um zu verhindern, dass die Sonnenstrahlen in sie eindringen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus f\u00fcgt das Vorhandensein von Wasser eine erfrischende Note hinzu.<\/p>

Der Verlauf dieser Schlucht wurde im vergangenen Jahrhundert teilweise gef\u00f6rdert. Tats\u00e4chlich gibt es noch antike Postkarten mit dem Weg dieser Schlucht als Motiv. Ausserdem war am Ausgang der Schlucht ein Imbiss errichtet worden, ein Imbiss, der zwischen den beiden Kriegen in Schutt und Asche gelegt worden war und von dem nur noch die Grundmauern \u00fcbrig sind.<\/p>

Der Weg durch die Schlucht war wegen eines Sturms, der den Weg ziemlich besch\u00e4digt hatte, seit einiger Zeit gesperrt. Der heutige Weg geh\u00f6rt nicht mehr zum offiziellen Wegenetz des Kantons Nidwalden. Infolgedessen wurden Angaben zu dieser Schlucht von den Wegweisern weggenommen und die Markierungen wurden mit grauer Farbe \u00fcberstrichen. Der Weg wurde jedoch repariert und kann wie bisher wieder begangen werden. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist es interessant festzustellen, dass der Schaden am Pfad minimal war. Zugegeben, kurz vor dem Uferwechsel liegen ein paar zus\u00e4tzliche grosse Felsbrocken auf dem Weg und die kleine Br\u00fccke war definitiv weggesp\u00fclt worden. Aber das sind Ereignisse, die sich auch in der Vergangenheit regelm\u00e4ssig vorgekommen waren. Wie auch immer, der Weg scheint gut gepflegt zu sein und trotz der Tilgung der Markierungen ist die Spur am Boden leicht zu finden. Lediglich das St\u00fcck Weg ganz am Anfang der Schlucht, dass der Arnibach \u00fcberquert, um Staldirain zu erreichen, scheint nicht mehr gepflegt zu sein. Dieser Abschnitt ist zwar sehr kurz und man kann den Wildbach durchwaten, aber einen Steg gibt es nicht mehr. Die \u00dcberquerung k\u00f6nnte problematisch werden, wenn viel Wasser kommen w\u00fcrde.<\/p>

Um den Anfang des Weges zu erreichen, muss die Aa unterhalb des Eugenisees \u00fcberquert werden, um nach \u00d6rtigen aufzusteigen. Wo der markierte Weg Richtung \u00c4schboden absteigt, muss man einem Weg folgen, der in kurzer Zeit eine Schlucht (Egglitobel) \u00fcberquert, um nach Eggli zu gelangen. Unterhalb dieses Hauses beginnt der Weg, leicht abfallend zu einem Tor im Zaun. Der Zaun markiert auch den Waldrand und du folgst einem schattigen Weg, um zu einer kleinen Br\u00fccke \u00fcber den Tr\u00fcebenbach zu gelangen. Kurz nach der Br\u00fccke ist noch der rechts abgehende Pfad zum Staldirain zu erkennen.<\/p>

Der Weg durch die Schlucht steigt am rechten Ufer des Arnibachs immer etwas h\u00f6her als der Wildbach an. Irgendwann steht man vor einer M\u00fcndung. An diesem Punkt n\u00e4hert sich der Weg dem Wildbach und durchquert ein mit grossen Bl\u00f6cken \u00fcbers\u00e4tes Gebiet, zwischen denen man sich bewegen muss. Kurz darauf \u00fcberquert man auf einem Steg den Wildbach des Wangtobels. Es ist diese Br\u00fccke, die von Zeit zu Zeit bei starken Regenf\u00e4llen aufgerissen wird. Am anderen Ufer steigt man durch ein oft sehr feuchtes Gebiet leicht an, bevor man den letzten ziemlich steilen Anstieg zu den Weiden beginnt.<\/p>

Sind die Weiden erreicht, folgen wir mehr oder weniger dem Schlucht Rand, um so gut wie m\u00f6glich den Zaun zu \u00fcberqueren (der damalige Durchgang wurde entfernt) und erreichen die Arni-Wang-H\u00fctte.<\/p>

An diesem Tag war ich der Asphaltstrasse nach Untertr\u00fcebsee gefolgt, um die gesamte Gerschnialp zu \u00fcberqueren und \u00fcber das Chatzenbalmeli und die B\u00e4nklialp nach Engelberg abzusteigen.<\/p>
