<\/p>

Engelberg n’est certainement pas un cas isol\u00e9, mais \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que j’\u00e9tais souvent \u00e0 Engelberg dans ma jeunesse, je peux dire \u00e0 quel point les chemins originels ont disparu. Ce fait peut \u00eatre consult\u00e9 sur la carte topographique num\u00e9rique en comparant les anciennes cartes avec celles d’aujourd’hui. La raison de la disparition des sentiers peut \u00eatre attribu\u00e9e \u00e0 la construction de chemins d\u2019alpages ou forestiers. La construction de ces chemins n’est pas \u00e0 d\u00e9plorer : apr\u00e8s tout, les paysans de montagne devraient avoir la vie plus facile car leur travail est d\u00e9j\u00e0 assez dur. Cependant, il est dommage que les sentiers ne soient plus entretenus. Ce manque de soin a conduit au fait que les chemins qui \u00e9taient encore largement utilis\u00e9s dans les ann\u00e9es 1980 sont maintenant difficiles \u00e0 trouver.<\/p>

Cet article d\u00e9crit une randonn\u00e9e qui suit deux sections de ces sentiers disparus. Le premier quitte le sentier de montagne menant \u00e0 la Fl\u00fchmatt pour rejoindre la maison isol\u00e9e de H\u00fcsli. Le second correspond \u00e0 l’ancien sentier de montagne qui descendait de Hinter Sack \u00e0 la Schwand.<\/p>

Depuis Engelberg, il faut d’abord suivre le sentier de randonn\u00e9e en direction de Fl\u00fchmatt (en fait Untere Fl\u00fchmatt). Le chemin traverse l’Ochsenmatt et monte \u00e0 gauche dans la for\u00eat. Il traverse un premier couloir et continuer \u00e0 traverser la pente. Avant un deuxi\u00e8me ravin, juste apr\u00e8s le virage, on aper\u00e7oit une trace qui serpente en remontant la pente. Apr\u00e8s une courte mont\u00e9e, on atteint un p\u00e2turage qui sert de prairie \u00e0 foin : plus haut se trouve un grenier \u00e0 foin qui servait autrefois. Aujourd’hui, le foin est remont\u00e9 via un c\u00e2ble. Plus haut, apr\u00e8s un court passage dans la for\u00eat, on atteint la maison de H\u00fcsli et le sentier de randonn\u00e9e qui m\u00e8ne de Bord \u00e0 Fl\u00fchmatt. Si on souhaite monter \u00e0 Ristis, au lieu de suivre le chemin balis\u00e9, il est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable de suivre le large chemin qui part derri\u00e8re la grange. Ce chemin correspond \u00e0 l’ancien sentier de randonn\u00e9e de Bord \u00e0 Fl\u00fchmatt.<\/p>

Sur la cr\u00eate, on atteint le chemin balis\u00e9 qui monte \u00e0 Ristis.<\/p>

De Ristis j’ai suivi la route qui m\u00e8ne de Schwand jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Hinter Sack. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 le sentier de montagne descend du Stoffelberg, le sentier d\u2019origine continuait \u00e0 travers les p\u00e2turages, passait pr\u00e8s de deux granges jusqu’\u00e0 Spisboden. Il se poursuivait, plus ou moins directement jusqu’\u00e0 la Schwand.<\/p>

De la Schwand il est avantageux d’\u00e9viter la route en allant vers le B\u00e4ch pour rejoindre \u00e0 nouveau la m\u00eame route juste avant le Gschneit. Cela repr\u00e9sente quelques m\u00e8tres de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 en plus, mais c’est beaucoup plus calme.<\/p>
