<\/p>

Voici une randonn\u00e9e pr\u00e9sentant de beaux contrastes et des points de vue tout aussi inhabituels que magnifique. En effet, le fond de la Vall\u00e9e de la Sagne et des Ponts a l\u2019apparence d\u2019une \u00e9tendue entour\u00e9e par deux versants assez abrupts. Cette configuration vient du fait que tout le fond de vall\u00e9e est rempli de tourbe r\u00e9sultant de la pr\u00e9sence, au Quaternaire, d\u2019un lac qui devait \u00eatre assez \u00e9tendu. Du reste, cette tourbe avait \u00e9t\u00e9 extraite pour servir de combustible.<\/p>

D\u00e8s que l\u2019on quitte le fond de la vall\u00e9e, le paysage change compl\u00e8tement et on \u00e9volue alors dans des p\u00e2turages dans lesquels on trouve, \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0, des chalets, voir des habitations. Plus loin, une fois d\u00e9pass\u00e9 les derni\u00e8res prairies, on ne tarde pas \u00e0 rejoindre le bord du Val de Travers. On peut alors savourer la vue portant par-del\u00e0 le Plateau Suisse vers les Alpes.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part du terminus du train des Ponts, il faut d\u2019abord suivre la route, somme toute assez fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e entre Les Ponts-de-Martel et Les Petits-Ponts. Un trottoir est certes pr\u00e9sent, mais le fait qu\u2019un tron\u00e7on important n\u2019est pas limit\u00e9 au niveau de la vitesse rend le moment un peu d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able. Il n\u2019y a malheureusement pas vraiment d\u2019alternatives. Une alternative envisageable consisterait \u00e0 suivre le sentier balis\u00e9 longeant Le Grand Bied. Cette variante permettrait de passer pr\u00e8s des sources d\u2019eau min\u00e9rale. Mais on rejoindrait alors Brot-Dessus, ce qui impose un d\u00e9tour et n\u2019affranchirait pas de devoir marcher un bout le long d\u2019une route fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e.<\/p>

Une fois Les Petits-Ponts atteints, il s\u2019agit alors de suivre la route du Col de la Tourne un court moment avant de grimper \u00e0 travers bois pour rejoindre la Combe des Fontaines. A cet endroit, on a le choix entre deux directions selon les panneaux indicateurs. Il s\u2019agit toutefois de ne pas trop se fier \u00e0 ceux-ci. En effet, si l\u2019on suit aveugl\u00e9ment leur direction et que l\u2019on souhaite descendre vers Chambrelien, on se trouve contraint de suivre un bon bout de route goudronn\u00e9e du Col de la Tourne. En cons\u00e9quence, il est plus indiqu\u00e9 de suivre la direction de la Grande Sagneule pour atteindre une cuvette se trouvant apr\u00e8s la Combe des Fies. Dans cette cuvette on trouvera alors plusieurs bifurcations dont une permettant de rejoindre directement le Col de la Tourne.<\/p>

Une fois le col atteint, on peut alors suivre un bon sentier grimpant aux Tablettes. Cet endroit se trouve au d\u00e9bouch\u00e9 du Val de Travers et offre quelques beaux points de vue sur la vall\u00e9e, le Creux du Van et une partie des Alpes. Toutefois, une partie de ces derni\u00e8res sont cach\u00e9es par la cr\u00eate de la Grande Ecoeurne. L\u2019endroit \u00e9tant assez exceptionnel, il ne faut pas s\u2019\u00e9tonner d\u2019y croiser plus de personnes que le long du reste de la randonn\u00e9e.<\/p>

Depuis les Tablettes un bon sentier, cependant raide et \u00e9troit par endroit, descend vers Rochefort. Comme j\u2019anticipais de rencontrer de la neige, j\u2019avais cru bon de prendre des crampons, au cas o\u00f9. Ils n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 utiles, mais ils l\u2019auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 si la temp\u00e9rature avait \u00e9t\u00e9 moins cl\u00e9mente. De plus, certains tron\u00e7ons de ce sentier n\u2019invitent pas vraiment \u00e0 un arr\u00eat prolong\u00e9 car les chutes de pierres doivent y \u00eatre fr\u00e9quentes.<\/p>

Une fois Rochefort rejoint, on doit encore franchir une petite bosse avant de descendre sur la gare de Chambrelien. Attention lors de la travers\u00e9e des voies de chemin de fer\u00a0: on se fait parfois un peu rabrouer si on tra\u00eene un peu trop longtemps sur les voies.<\/p>
