<\/p>

Le sommet du Mont Racine est une destination privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e car elle se trouve sur la cr\u00eate du Jura dominant le Lac de Neuch\u00e2tel. Par cons\u00e9quent, la vue dont on jouit est particuli\u00e8rement belle, pour autant que la m\u00e9t\u00e9o le permette, ce qui n\u2019\u00e9tait pas tout \u00e0 fait le cas ce jour-l\u00e0. En effet, des nuages recouvraient une partie de la cr\u00eate et cachait une bonne partie du paysage. De plus, un peu plus tard, nous avions essuy\u00e9 une petite averse, ce qui nous a contraint \u00e0 nous mettre \u00e0 l\u2019abri sous un avant-toit.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de la Sagne, il s\u2019agit d\u2019abord de traverser la vall\u00e9e homonyme pour gravir les premi\u00e8res pentes menant au Mont Racine. Il est alors int\u00e9ressant de suivre l\u2019itin\u00e9raire appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Sentier des Statues\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0Sentier des Sculptures\u00a0\u00bb. En effet, tout au long du sentier on peut contempler des sculptures effectu\u00e9es \u00e0 m\u00eame les troncs d\u2019arbre.<\/p>

Au sortir du \u00ab\u00a0Sentier des Statues\u00a0\u00bb, l\u2019itin\u00e9raire num\u00e9rot\u00e9 monte plus ou moins directement au Mont Racine. Toutefois, on arrive alors \u00e0 un endroit o\u00f9 la vue n\u2019est pas aussi d\u00e9gag\u00e9e. Il est alors plus avantageux de se rendre aux Grandes Pradi\u00e8res et d\u2019emprunter le sentier des cr\u00eates menant jusqu\u2019au sommet. On b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie alors d\u2019une vue beaucoup plus d\u00e9gag\u00e9e.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 le sommet, on peut \u00eatre tent\u00e9 de suivre le sentier balis\u00e9. Il est cependant plus avantageux de suivre la cr\u00eate le long d\u2019une trace menant aux chalets de Cucheroux. On a alors une vue sur le Creux du Van et une partie du Val de Travers. La premi\u00e8re fois que j\u2019\u00e9tais pass\u00e9 par Cucheroux-Dessous, j\u2019avais encore suivi un bout de la cr\u00eate jusqu\u2019au pyl\u00f4ne de la ligne \u00e9lectrique afin d\u2019essayer de suivre un sentier qui figurait encore sur les cartes dans les ann\u00e9es 2010. C\u2019\u00e9tait une tr\u00e8s mauvaise id\u00e9e. Il vaut mieux emprunter le chemin forestier qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 la Mauvaise Combe. L\u00e0, on retrouve le sentier balis\u00e9 traversant deux fois la route avant de descendre sur Rochefort.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s Rochefort, il s\u2019agit encore de grimper un peu pour passer une bosse avant de descendre \u00e0 Chambrelien.<\/p>
