<\/p>\n

Der Gantrisch ist sowohl eine Region als auch ein Gipfel. Der Gipfel liegt entlang der ersten Kette der Nordalpen, die das Niedersimmental nach Norden hin begrenzt. Erstaunlicherweise ist er nicht der h\u00f6chste Gipfel dieser Kette, denn sowohl das Stockhorn als auch der Ochse sind h\u00f6her. Aber wahrscheinlich ist es die besondere Morphologie des Gantrisch-Gipfels, die der Region n\u00f6rdlich dieser Kette ihren Namen gegeben hat.<\/p>\n

Der Norden der Gantrisch-Region sowie die Nachbargemeinde R\u00fcschegg sind terti\u00e4r gebildet und bestehen aus Molasse und teilweise Konglomerat. Dies f\u00fchrt zu einer komplizierten Morphologie mit engen T\u00e4lern und landwirtschaftlich wenig nutzbaren H\u00fcgeln. Dies ist einer der Gr\u00fcnde, weshalb R\u00fcschegg die \u00e4rmste Region des Kantons Bern war. Der S\u00fcden der Gantrisch-Region ist aus Kalkstein gebildet und bildet einen Kontrast zur Nachbargemeinde im Norden. Die Kalte Sense fliesst nach Westen und die G\u00fcrbe nach Osten. Die Wasserscheide liegt am Gurnigelpass.<\/p>\n

Diese Wanderung folgt der langen Gratlinie n\u00f6rdlich der Gantrisch-Region. Der nummerierte Weg des Panoramawegs, der entlang dieser Gratlinie verl\u00e4uft, f\u00fchrt von Gurnigelbad nach Zollhaus. Da dies zu lang gewesen w\u00e4re, sind wir von der Stierenh\u00fctte aus gestartet und haben diesen Weg gewandert. Wir sind jedoch nicht dem Weg treu geblieben, sondern sind auf den Selib\u00fcel, einen kleinen Gipfel mit sch\u00f6ner Aussicht \u00fcber die Region Thun, hinaufgestiegen. Von diesem kleinen Gipfel f\u00fchrt ein nicht markierter, aber gut erkennbarer Pfad entlang der Gratlinie hinunter zum oben erw\u00e4hnten Weg.<\/p>\n

Die Aussichtspunkte entlang dieser Gratlinie sind eher sp\u00e4rlich, da der Grat bewaldet ist. Hier und da hat man jedoch einen Blick auf das Schweizer Flachland. Weiter quert man den G\u00e4ggersteg, eine Holzkonstruktion, die es erm\u00f6glicht, \u00fcber dem Waldboden zu wandern. Diese Konstruktion wurde nach dem Orkan Lothar im Dezember 1999 errichtet, der in den W\u00e4ldern enorme Sch\u00e4den angerichtet hatte. Diese Konstruktion erm\u00f6glicht es der \u00d6ffentlichkeit, zu sehen, wie sich ein Wald von einem solchen Ereignis erholt.<\/p>\n

Wenn man weiter auf dem Grat entlangwandert, kommt man in die N\u00e4he der Cheesereh\u00f6hle, eine merkw\u00fcrdige H\u00f6hle, die in die Tiefen der Erde f\u00fchrt und mit einer Sage verbunden ist. Sie liegt kurz vor dem Abstieg nach Zollhaus. Dort bietet sich ein weiter Blick auf die Region des Schwarzsees.<\/p>\n
