<\/p>\n

Le Gantrisch est \u00e0 la fois une r\u00e9gion et un sommet. Le sommet se trouve le long de la premi\u00e8re cr\u00eate des Pr\u00e9alpes longeant le Niedersimmental vers le nord. Etonnamment, il ne s\u2019agit pas du plus haut sommet de cette cha\u00eene puisque le Stockhorn et le Ochse sont plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Cependant, la si particuli\u00e8re morphologie du sommet du Gantrisch est probablement la raison pour laquelle il a conf\u00e9r\u00e9 son nom \u00e0 la r\u00e9gion se trouvant au nord de cette cha\u00eene.<\/p>\n

La partie nord de la r\u00e9gion du Gantrisch, ainsi que la voisine R\u00fcschegg, a \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9e durant le tertiaire et est constitu\u00e9e de molasse, et en partie de conglom\u00e9rat. Il en r\u00e9sulte une morphologie complexe form\u00e9e de vallons encaiss\u00e9s et de cr\u00eates peu propices \u00e0 l\u2019agriculture. C\u2019est une des raisons pour laquelle R\u00fcschegg \u00e9tait la r\u00e9gion la plus pauvre du canton de Berne. La partie sud de la r\u00e9gion du Gantrisch est form\u00e9e de calcaires et pr\u00e9sente un contraste de paysage avec sa voisine du nord. Entre les deux parties coulent vers l\u2019ouest, la Kalte Sense et vers l\u2019est, la G\u00fcrbe. La ligne de partage des eaux se trouve au Gurnigelpass.<\/p>\n

Cette randonn\u00e9e suit la longue ar\u00eate longeant le nord de la r\u00e9gion du Gantrisch. L\u2019itin\u00e9raire num\u00e9rot\u00e9 du sentier panoramique qui suit cette ar\u00eate, part depuis Gurnigelbad pour rejoindre Zollhaus. Comme cela aurait fait un trop gros morceau, nous sommes partis de la Stierenh\u00fctte pour suivre cet itin\u00e9raire. En revanche, nous n\u2019avons pas fid\u00e8lement suivi l\u2019itin\u00e9raire, car nous sommes mont\u00e9s au Selib\u00fcel, petit sommet pr\u00e9sentant une belle vue sur la r\u00e9gion de Thun. Depuis ce petit sommet, un sentier, non balis\u00e9 mais bien marqu\u00e9 au sol, descend le long de la cr\u00eate pour rejoindre l\u2019itin\u00e9raire pr\u00e9cit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Les points de vue le long de cette ar\u00eate sont assez rares, car la cr\u00eate est bois\u00e9e. \u00c7\u00e0 et l\u00e0 cependant, on a un peu de vue sur le plateau Suisse. Un peu plus loin, on traverse le G\u00e4ggersteg, qui est une construction en bois permettant de marcher au-dessus du sol de la for\u00eat. Cette construction avait \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 la suite de l\u2019ouragan Lothar qui, en d\u00e9cembre 1999, avait caus\u00e9 \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de d\u00e9g\u00e2ts aux for\u00eats. Cette construction permet au public de constater comment une for\u00eat peut se remettre d\u2019un tel \u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>\n

En continuant le long de l\u2019ar\u00eate, on passe non loin de la Cheesereh\u00f6hle, une curieuse grotte plongeant dans les entrailles de la terre et li\u00e9e \u00e0 une l\u00e9gende. Elle se situe peu avant d\u2019entamer la descente en direction de Zollhaus. L\u00e0, la vue s\u2019\u00e9largit sur la r\u00e9gion du Lac Noir.<\/p>\n
