<\/p>

The Tour de Moron is a tourist attraction in the region, unfortunately currently inaccessible because it has been damaged by poor materials. It is a shame, because the view from the top of the tower, when it was accessible, must have been spectacular. Nevertheless, we decided to go to the top of Moron, to walk part of the mountain.<\/p>

We left from Moutier station to go to the entrance of Perrefitte. There, we had two options: to go up the Combe Fabet or to go up to the P\u00e2turage de Moron. Since we had already walked the Combe Fabet in the past and even though the route is very interesting, we chose the second option. This way, you get a view of the town of Moutier and the Raimeux. Even though the slope is not very steep overall, there are still some very steep parts, especially above the P\u00e2turage de Moron and towards the Pr\u00e9s du Haut de la Charri\u00e8re. One of the nice things is that you only see the tower when you are close to it. This means that you do not have the unpleasant experience of feeling that you are note move forward.<\/p>

When we arrived at the base of the tower, we could see the state of disrepair caused by the damage: whole steps had broken off and taken the steps below with them. There is a large scar running from almost the top of the tower to the bottom. It goes without saying that you cannot get close to it. After going around the barriers preventing access to the base of the Tour de Moron, we continued to the top of Moron. It is a disappointing summit, because the view is not what you would expect.<\/p>

From the summit, we followed the marked trail down to Malleray to catch the train there. The trail is steep in places, and it is only when you reach the first farms at the foot of the mountain that the slope becomes gentler. In Malleray, you must be careful and look at the topographic map, because one of the signs indicates that you should go down to the main road to reach the station. However, it is better to go over the railway line: it is much quieter.<\/p>
