<\/p>

Voici quelque temps que nous avions envie d\u2019effectuer la travers\u00e9e sur les hauts en partant de Chaumont. De plus, ayant appris l\u2019existence de la mire m\u00e9ridienne de l\u2019ancien observatoire chronom\u00e9trique de Neuch\u00e2tel, nous avions envie d\u2019aller voir de plus pr\u00e8s.<\/p>

Ainsi, nous avions emprunt\u00e9 le funiculaire pour nous rendre \u00e0 Chaumont en partant depuis la Coudre. Le funiculaire est particulier en ce sens qu\u2019il n\u2019y a pas de deuxi\u00e8me voiture permettant de faire contrepoids. En l\u2019occurrence, il s\u2019agit d\u2019un funiculaire actionn\u00e9 par un treuil. Quand on sait que la distance couverte par le funiculaire est de 2Km, on peut imaginer la dimension de la bobine du treuil.<\/p>

Depuis l\u2019arriv\u00e9e du funiculaire, nous sommes all\u00e9s voir la mire pour revenir \u00e0 Chaumont et partir sur les hauts pour rejoindre le Petit Chaumont. Tout le cheminement s\u2019effectue essentiellement \u00e0 travers bois, ce qui a pour cons\u00e9quence que les points de vue sur le plateau Suisse sont tr\u00e8s rares. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019en arrivant \u00e0 Enges que l\u2019on arrive \u00e0 voir le Lac de Neuch\u00e2tel et le plateau. Malheureusement, on ne tarde pas \u00e0 retraverser des for\u00eats pour arriver \u00e0 Cressier o\u00f9 l\u2019on est trop bas pour b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019une vue d\u00e9gag\u00e9e.<\/p>

La consolation est que Cressier est une magnifique petite bourgade avec des b\u00e2timents tr\u00e8s anciens.<\/p>
