Je n\u2019\u00e9tais plus mont\u00e9 au barrage d\u2019Emosson le Vieux depuis bien longtemps. Pour dire, la derni\u00e8re fois que j\u2019\u00e9tais mont\u00e9 au site des trace de dinosaures, le sentier longeait la rive gauche du Lac du Vieux Emosson. A la hauteur du barrage, on traversait alors une galerie pour suivre la rive gauche avant d\u2019entamer la mont\u00e9e en direction du Col des Corbeaux.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s le rehaussement du barrage \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 2000, le sentier monte en rive droite et rejoint directement le site aux traces.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part du Col de la Gueulaz, on traverse d\u2019abord l\u2019impressionnant barrage vo\u00fbte d\u2019Emosson et on suit une petite route goudronn\u00e9e qui permet de rejoindre le Vieux-Emosson. A un endroit, il vaut la peine de suivre un petit sentier permettant de couper le lacet que fait la route.<\/p>

Une fois sur le barrage, on traverse celui-ci et on longe la rive droite du Lac du Vieux Emosson sur les hauteurs. Encore un petit effort et on atteint la fameuse dalle avec les traces. Ces traces sont dat\u00e9es de -245 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es, soit au tout d\u00e9but du M\u00e9sozo\u00efque. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que pour beaucoup de gens, le temps des dinosaures est le Jurassique alors qu\u2019en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, c\u2019est le M\u00e9sozo\u00efque dans son entier (qui comprend le Jurassique).<\/p>

Pour le retour, j\u2019\u00e9tais revenu par la Gorge de la Veudale. M\u00eame si pour la rejoindre il faut encore monter un peu, son parcours vaut la peine, car on se trouve dans un petit monde \u00e0 part. Pr\u00e8s de la T\u00eate du Largey, on retrouve la route que l\u2019on avait emprunt\u00e9e lors de la mont\u00e9e.<\/p>
