Si depuis La Chaux-de-Fonds, on a envie d\u2019avoir une vue sur la plaine et les Alpes, il vaut la peine de monter sur la cr\u00eate du Jura s\u2019\u00e9tendant du Mont d\u2019Amin au Mont Racine. Pour ce faire, on a plusieurs possibilit\u00e9s. On peut certes se rendre en car ou en voiture au Col de la Vue des Alpes. Il est cependant \u00e9galement possible de partir \u00e0 pied depuis La Chaux-de-Fonds. Il faut alors compter avec 2 heures de marche pour se rendre au col.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de La Chaux-de-Fonds, on commence par quitter la ville en gagnant les bois du Couvent, qui est l\u2019endroit o\u00f9 se trouve le camping ainsi que le parcours-sant\u00e9 Vita. Depuis ces bois, on descend un peu pour atteindre les Grandes Crosettes (anciennement appel\u00e9 le Creux du Seret). A partir de cette combe, on commence par monter au Reymond, tout en ayant pass\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s de l\u2019arr\u00eat homonyme. Une fois pass\u00e9e la bosse, on atteint les habitations de Maison Rouge et de Boinod. Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 la route du Col de la Vue des Alpes, on monte de mani\u00e8re assez raide et p\u00e9nible dans les bois pour atteindre un petit col pr\u00e8s de la Motte. Le fait d\u2019avoir install\u00e9 des marches en granit sur ce sentier part d\u2019un bon sentiment, mais la mont\u00e9e devient tr\u00e8s vite lassante. Plus loin, on suit un chemin forestier c\u00f4toyant toujours la route du col, chemin qui ne tarde pas \u00e0 se distancer de la route pour traverser deux combes peu avant la Vue des Alpes.<\/p>

Tout le tron\u00e7on entre le Creux du Seret et La Vue des Alpes est r\u00e9pertori\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019inventaire des voies historiques de Suisse. Par endroits, le chemin est bord\u00e9 d\u2019arbres ce qui atteste d\u2019une importance historique. Ce tron\u00e7on est aussi emprunt\u00e9 par la Voie R\u00e9volutionnaire. Cette voie comm\u00e9more la r\u00e9volution du 29 f\u00e9vrier\/1er<\/sup> mars 1848. En effet, bien que Neuch\u00e2tel ait fait partie de la conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration d\u00e8s 1814, elle restait propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du Roi de Prusse. Cette situation devenait intol\u00e9rable, surtout par suite de l\u2019abdication du roi Louis-Philippe de France. La r\u00e9volution, d\u00e9but\u00e9e au Locle s\u2019est ensuite \u00e9tendue \u00e0 tout le canton suite \u00e0 la marche des r\u00e9publicains sur le ch\u00e2teau de Neuch\u00e2tel. Le 1er<\/sup> mars au soir, la prise du ch\u00e2teau permis le d\u00e9but de l\u2019instauration d\u2019une r\u00e9publique. La marche est comm\u00e9mor\u00e9e chaque ann\u00e9e depuis 39 ans et fait partie du patrimoine culturel immat\u00e9riel de l\u2019UNESCO.<\/p>

Depuis le Col de la Vue des Alpes, on suit alors la cr\u00eate se poursuivant en direction de la T\u00eate de Ran. Malgr\u00e9 le fait que l\u2019on se trouve sur la cr\u00eate, les points de vue sont inexistants. Il suffit de consulter la carte topographique pour constater que les ouvertures n\u2019existent pas. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019approche de la T\u00eate de Ran que la vue se d\u00e9gage vraiment.<\/p>

Depuis l\u2019h\u00f4tel de la T\u00eate de Ran, il s\u2019agit de monter quelques 100m de d\u00e9nivellation pour atteindre le sommet homonyme. C\u2019est \u00e0 cet endroit que l\u2019on peut vraiment b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019une vue panoramique. D\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, on voit une partie de la ville de la Chaux-de-Fonds et en particulier, le quartier de Bel-Air et des Ar\u00eates. De l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, c\u2019est le plateau Suisse et les Alpes qui se pr\u00e9sentent \u00e0 nous.<\/p>

La suite, depuis la T\u00eate de Ran, est identique \u00e0 la randonn\u00e9e menant au Mont Racine. On descend quelque peu pour monter dans une for\u00eat qu\u2019on quittera un peu plus loin. D\u00e8s que l\u2019on quitte la for\u00eat pr\u00e8s de Pouet-Carre, la vue redevient tr\u00e8s large et on peut contempler toute la cha\u00eene des Alpes entre le Gl\u00e4rnisch jusque dans les Aravis.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre descendu aux Loges de Pradi\u00e8res-Dessus (buvette ouverte les week-ends d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 et d\u2019hiver), on peut suivre la route menant aux grands b\u00e2timents des Pradi\u00e8res (en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 un cantonnement pour l\u2019arm\u00e9e). A mesure que l\u2019on descend en suivant la route, la vue est cach\u00e9e par les arbres. On ne tarde pas alors d\u2019entamer la descente en direction des Geneveys-sur-Coffrane. Certains tron\u00e7ons de cette descente sont raides et il y a lieu de bien faire attention, en particulier en fin de saison.<\/p>

La descente \u00e0 travers for\u00eat nous permet alors d\u2019atteindre les premiers lotissements des Genevey-sur-Coffrane et il faut alors juste traverser le village pour rejoindre la gare. Toutefois, il ne faut pas s\u2019y tromper\u00a0: m\u00eame si en descendant des Pradi\u00e8res on tombe directement sur la voie de chemin de fer, la gare se trouve quelques 200m plus bas.<\/p>
