La ville de La Chaux-de-Fonds se trouve dans une d\u00e9pression qui s\u2019\u00e9tend du Col des Roches aux anciens moulins. Pour \u00eatre plus pr\u00e9cis, il faudrait parler de deux d\u00e9pressions puisqu\u2019au niveau oro-hydrographique, la cuvette du Locle se distingue de la cuvette de la Chaux-de-Fonds par le fait qu\u2019elles alimentes deux cours d\u2019eau diff\u00e9rents. Depuis le Locle coule le Bied (qui s\u2019appelle la Ran\u00e7onni\u00e8re, plus loin) et depuis la Chaux-de-Fonds, la Ronde. Une \u00e9l\u00e9vation s\u2019\u00e9tend au nord le long de ces deux vallons. Il s\u2019agit de celle sur laquelle se trouve le point culminant de Pouillerel et qui se termine en plongeant en direction du Col de Roches. La proximit\u00e9 des deux villes et la d\u00e9nivellation raisonnable en font une destination privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e pour une petite balade. De plus, la vue porte au-del\u00e0 de la cr\u00eate du Mont d\u2019Amin et du Mont Racine, et permet donc de pouvoir contempler les sommets des Alpes.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de La Chaux-de-Fonds, on commence par gagner le Bois du Petit Ch\u00e2teau, haut lieu pour les enfants puisqu\u2019un parc zoologique s\u2019y trouve (et le mus\u00e9e d\u2019histoire naturelle depuis peu). En journ\u00e9e, il vaut la peine de le traverser au lieu de suivre la rue du Haut des Combes. Au-dessus du parc, on s\u2019engage alors dans un petit vallon qui d\u00e9bouche plus haut sur la route menant \u00e0 Pouillerel. En suivant cette route, on ne tarde pas \u00e0 atteindre le bed and breakfast de la Ferme du Sommet de Pouillerel. Juste apr\u00e8s la ferme, au lieu de suivre la route goudronn\u00e9e, il faut s\u2019engager sur un chemin de terre qui permet de rejoindre le sommet effectif. Un signal g\u00e9od\u00e9sique marque le sommet de Pouillerel, et une table d\u2019orientation se trouve un peu en contrebas.<\/p>

Depuis le sommet, on peut alors suivre un sentier bien marqu\u00e9 au sol permettant de d\u2019atteindre la Sombaille. Au-del\u00e0 de cette maison, on traverse un bout le p\u00e2turage en longeant une succession de dolines tr\u00e8s marqu\u00e9es, avant de p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans la for\u00eat. Un peu plus loin, le sentier \u00e9volue toujours dans la for\u00eat, mais en longeant la lisi\u00e8re de celle-ci. On ne tarde alors pas \u00e0 atteindre la tr\u00e8s connue ferme du Maillard o\u00f9 des boissons chaudes et froides sont \u00e0 disposition pratiquement tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e\u2026 une petite caissette permettant de r\u00e9gler son d\u00fb. Il est aussi int\u00e9ressant de noter que beaucoup parlent \u00ab\u00a0des Maillard\u00a0\u00bb et non \u00ab\u00a0du Maillard\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>

Au-del\u00e0 du Maillard, apr\u00e8s \u00eatre sorti de la for\u00eat et franchit un mur en pierre s\u00e8che, on p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans un p\u00e2turage compl\u00e8tement ouvert. Le sentier balis\u00e9 se tient un peu en contrebas de la butte et descend en direction de la Galandrue. Ce trac\u00e9 est bien regrettable, car on n\u2019a aucune vue, sauf au-del\u00e0 du Doubs en direction de la France. C\u2019est pourquoi il est avantageux de suivre le sommet de la large bosse et passer au-dessus du Saignolet. On peut alors jouir d\u2019une vue portant au-del\u00e0 de la ligne de cr\u00eate du Mont Racine en direction des Alpes.<\/p>

Quelques passages sont am\u00e9nag\u00e9s dans les cl\u00f4tures et on retrouve \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0, une petite trace que l\u2019on peut suivre \u00e0 travers les massifs de myrtilliers.\u00a0M\u00eame si ce sentier n\u2019est pas indiqu\u00e9 sur la carte, il semble suffisamment fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 pour ne pas le perdre.<\/p>

Au sortir de la for\u00eat, on atteint un p\u00e2turage semi-ouvert, dans lequel on rejoint le sentier balis\u00e9 tenant de la Galandrue \u00e0 Beauregard. Apr\u00e8s une courte descente et avoir rejoint la ferme de Beauregard, on p\u00e9n\u00e8tre \u00e0 nouveau dans la for\u00eat pour atteindre une bonne route. Cette route rejoint alors le Cr\u00eat du Locle en passant par le Haut du Cr\u00eat, et permet, plus loin, d\u2019arriver \u00e0 la halte du Cr\u00eat du Locle.<\/p>

Ce qui est appr\u00e9ciable dans cette \u00ab\u00a0balade\u00a0\u00bb, c\u2019est qu\u2019en utilisant les transports publics, tant \u00e0 La Chaux-de-Fonds que pour le retour depuis le Cr\u00eat du Locle, elle est r\u00e9alisable sur une petite demi-journ\u00e9e (compter 3h30 au total).<\/p>
