<\/p>

L\u2019Arniloch, ou aussi appel\u00e9 Arni-Tobel est une destination pris\u00e9e pour qui cherche un peu de fra\u00eecheur en plein \u00e9t\u00e9. En effet, cette gorge est suffisamment encaiss\u00e9e pour emp\u00eacher les rayons solaires d\u2019y p\u00e9n\u00e9trer. De plus, la pr\u00e9sence de l\u2019eau rajoute une touche rafra\u00eechissante.<\/p>

Une certaine promotion avait \u00e9t\u00e9 faite pour le parcours de cette gorge au si\u00e8cle pass\u00e9. En effet, on trouve encore des cartes postales antiques avec comme motif le sentier de cette gorge. De plus, \u00e0 la sortie de la gorge, une buvette avait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9e, buvette qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duite en cendres \u00e0 l\u2019entre-deux guerres et dont il ne reste que les fondations.<\/p>

Le sentier \u00e0 travers la gorge avait \u00e9t\u00e9 ferm\u00e9 pour un certain temps, par suite d\u2019un orage qui avait passablement endommag\u00e9 le sentier. Le sentier actuel ne fait plus partie du r\u00e9seau officiel des sentiers du canton de Nidwald. En cons\u00e9quence, les panneaux indicateurs ne mentionnent plus cette gorge et le balisage a \u00e9t\u00e9 recouvert de peinture grise. Toutefois, le sentier a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9par\u00e9 et il peut \u00e0 nouveau \u00eatre parcouru comme avant. Du reste, il est int\u00e9ressant de constater que les ravages au sentier ont \u00e9t\u00e9 minimes. Certes, il y a quelques gros blocs de rocher de plus qui encombrent le sentier juste avant de changer de rive et la passerelle avait certainement \u00e9t\u00e9 emport\u00e9e. Mais ce sont des \u00e9v\u00e9nements qui se produisaient \u00e9galement de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9guli\u00e8re par le pass\u00e9. Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, le sentier semble bien entretenu et malgr\u00e9 l\u2019effacement du balisage, on trouve facilement la trace au sol. Seul le bout de sentier permettant, au bas de la gorge de traverser l\u2019Arnibach pour rejoindre Staldirain ne semble plus \u00eatre entretenu. Certes, ce tron\u00e7on est tr\u00e8s court et on peut s\u2019arranger pour traverser le torrent \u00e0 gu\u00e9, mais il n\u2019y a plus de passerelle. La travers\u00e9e pourrait \u00eatre probl\u00e9matique s\u2019il devait y avoir beaucoup d\u2019eau.<\/p>

Pour atteindre le d\u00e9but du sentier, il faut, en dessous du Eugenisee, traverser l\u2019Aa pour monter \u00e0 \u00d6rtigen. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 le sentier balis\u00e9 descend en direction d\u2019\u00c4schboden, il faut suivre un chemin qui ne tarde pas \u00e0 traverser une gorge (l\u2019Egglitobel) pour rejoindre Eggli. En dessous de cette maison part le sentier en descendant l\u00e9g\u00e8rement en direction d\u2019un portail dans la cl\u00f4ture. La cl\u00f4ture marque \u00e9galement la lisi\u00e8re de la for\u00eat et on suit un sentier ombrag\u00e9 pour rejoindre un petit pont sur le Tr\u00fcebenbach. Peu apr\u00e8s le pont, on distingue encore le sentier partant sur la droite pour monter au Staldirain.<\/p>

Le sentier de la gorge monte en rive droite de l\u2019Arnibach toujours un peu plus haut que le torrent. A un moment, on se trouve en face d\u2019une embouchure. C\u2019est \u00e0 ce moment que le sentier s\u2019approche du torrent et traverse une zone encombr\u00e9e de gros blocs entre lesquels il faut se frayer un chemin. Peu apr\u00e8s, on traverse sur une passerelle le torrent descendant le Wangtobel. C\u2019est cette passerelle qui est de temps en temps arrach\u00e9e lors de fortes pluies. Sur l\u2019autre rive, on monte l\u00e9g\u00e8rement \u00e0 travers une zone souvent tr\u00e8s humide avant d\u2019entamer la derni\u00e8re ascension assez raide jusqu\u2019au p\u00e2turages.<\/p>

Une fois les p\u00e2turages atteints, on suit plus ou moins le bord de la gorge pour traverser au mieux la cl\u00f4ture (le passage qui existait dans le temps a \u00e9t\u00e9 enlev\u00e9) et atteindre le chalet d\u2019Arni-Wang.<\/p>

Ce jour-l\u00e0, j\u2019avais suivi la route goudronn\u00e9e menant \u00e0 Untertr\u00fcebsee pour traverser toute la Gerschnialp et descendre sur Engelberg en passant par le Chatzenbalmeli et la B\u00e4nklialp.<\/p>
