<\/p>

Les Tablettes sont une destination de choix des montagnes neuch\u00e2teloises. En effet, ces rochers forment un promontoire \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e du Val de Travers. On domine alors les Gorges de l\u2019Areuse et on se trouve face au Creux du Van dont on peut appr\u00e9cier la hauteur de la grande paroi. On y jouit \u00e9galement d\u2019une vue sans obstacle sur une bonne partie des Alpes. Seule la partie la plus m\u00e9ridionale de celles-ci est cach\u00e9e par la longue cr\u00eate de la Montagne de Boudry. Beaucoup acc\u00e8dent aux Tablettes en laissant la voiture \u00e0 la Tourne. De s\u2019y rendre est alors l\u2019affaire d\u2019une demi-heure de marche. Cependant, les lieux sont nettement moins fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s que les destinations \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9seaux sociaux\u00a0\u00bb que sont les Gorges de l\u2019Areuse et le Creux du Van. Par contre, que l\u2019on ne s\u2019y trompe pas, toute la cr\u00eate \u00e9tant bois\u00e9e, il n\u2019est pas toujours possible de pouvoir appr\u00e9cier une vue totalement d\u00e9pourvue de branches cachant la vision.<\/p>

Je m\u2019\u00e9tais rendu plusieurs fois aux Tablettes et j\u2019avais eu l\u2019envie de m\u2019y rendre en effectuant une travers\u00e9e. L\u2019id\u00e9e m\u2019\u00e9tait apparue lorsque je m\u2019\u00e9tais rendu compte qu\u2019autant le d\u00e9part de cette randonn\u00e9e, comme la destination, \u00e9taient facilement accessible en train. En effet, Chambrelien se trouve sur la ligne de La Chaux-de-Fonds o\u00f9 le train doit changer de direction pour s\u2019engager sur la voie montante (ou descendante selon la direction). L\u2019arr\u00eat \u00e0 Chambrelien est donc assur\u00e9 pour cette raison. En ce qui concerne Les Ponts-de-Martel, un petit train parcourt la Vall\u00e9e des Ponts et relie ce village avec La Chaux-de-Fonds.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de Chambrelien, on commence par monter \u00e0 travers la for\u00eat pour atteindre Rochefort. Cette mont\u00e9e est agr\u00e9able, car on progresse dans la for\u00eat. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019aux abords de Rochefort que l\u2019on p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans les pr\u00e9s. Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 la route fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e du Val de Travers, on suit un petit moment le Merdasson avant de monter, de mani\u00e8re de plus en plus raide en direction des Tablettes. Juste avant d\u2019arriver, le sentier rejoint une ar\u00eate qu\u2019il remonte jusqu\u2019au sommet. C\u2019est \u00e0 cet endroit que l\u2019on a la plus belle vue sur le Lac de Neuch\u00e2tel et le Val de Travers.<\/p>

Plus loin, le sentier longe la cr\u00eate en direction de Solmont offrant \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0 quelques\u00a0 points de vue sur la vall\u00e9e et la Montagne de Boudry. Si l\u2019on veut rejoindre Les Ponts-de-Martel en suivant les sentiers balis\u00e9s, il faut descendre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019angle de rochers dominant Noiraigue. Ce faisant, on doit alors remonter la Combe Hory pour regagner l\u2019altitude perdue. C\u2019est la raison pour laquelle j\u2019avais d\u00e9cid\u00e9, apr\u00e8s Solmont, de couper \u00e0 travers bois pour rejoindre un chemin forestier permettant de descendre \u00e0 Brot-Dessus.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 ce village, on atteint toute la plaine de la Vall\u00e9e des Ponts. Le sentier passe entre des marais et des tourbi\u00e8res, et il ne faut pas manquer les deux sources d\u2019eau min\u00e9rale, une sulfureuse et une ferrugineuse. Elles se trouvent l\u00e0 o\u00f9 le sentier franchit le Grand Bied et il ne faut pas manquer d\u2019aller go\u00fbter ces eaux. La pr\u00e9sence de sources d\u2019eau min\u00e9rale dans un massif calcaire reste un myst\u00e8re pour moi, qui croyait qu\u2019elles n\u2019existaient que dans les Alpes.<\/p>

Peu apr\u00e8s, on rejoint le village des Ponts-de-Martel, o\u00f9 l\u2019on peut prendre le petit train atteignant La Chaux-de-Fonds. Attention toutefois \u00e0 bien consulter l\u2019horaire auparavant, le train ne circulant pas \u00e0 certaines heures, n\u00e9cessitant des alternatives plus longues.<\/p>
