<\/p>

Les gorges de l\u2019Aa d\u2019Engelberg se trouvent en-dessous du village d\u2019Engelberg, dans tron\u00e7on assez raide et \u00e9troit de la vall\u00e9e. L\u2019\u00e9rosion qui y existe est assez importante. Mais j\u2019ai l\u2019impression que depuis le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000, celle-ci s\u2019est acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 cause des crues se r\u00e9p\u00e9tant de plus en plus souvent. En effet, si l\u2019on consulte les cartes historiques, on constate que depuis les ann\u00e9es 1920 lorsque ce sentier avait \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9nag\u00e9 pour les touristes, il n\u2019avait peu chang\u00e9 de trac\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1990. Le seul changement notable avait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9viter le franchissement direct du Tr\u00fcebenbach en faisant changer le sentier de rive juste avant l\u2019embouchure de ce dernier dans l\u2019Aa d\u2019Engelberg et ce, au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960. Toutefois, le sentier continuant d\u2019emprunter pour l\u2019essentiel la rive gauche de l\u2019Aa. Les inondations de 2005 avec les cons\u00e9quences d\u00e9sastreuses qu\u2019elles ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es, a contraint de compl\u00e8tement revoir le trac\u00e9. Depuis cette ann\u00e9e, le sentier doit r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement \u00eatre retrac\u00e9 pour donner suite \u00e0 des \u00e9boulements importants. Le dernier en date a conduit \u00e0 faire partir le sentier sous la route cantonale en passant entre les piliers de sout\u00e8nement.<\/p>

Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, le parcours des gorges de l\u2019Aa sont une destination de choix dans les montagnes d\u2019Engelberg.<\/p>

Ici, j\u2019avais d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de les descendre pour atteindre Wolfenschiessen et pouvoir reprendre le train pour Engelberg.\u00a0Malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence de neige, le parcourt avait \u00e9t\u00e9 sans probl\u00e8mes, les quantit\u00e9s tomb\u00e9es ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s modestes. Comme mentionn\u00e9, on commence par passer sous la route cantonale o\u00f9 quelques aides permettent de passer par-dessus les pieds des piliers. On ne tarde pas alors \u00e0 devoir descendre de mani\u00e8re assez raide en direction du torrent avant de franchir celui-ci sur une petite passerelle. Depuis cet endroit, le sentier reprend le trac\u00e9 d\u2019origine avant de franchir \u00e0 nouveau le torrent en deux fois, en utilisant un ilot rocheux, et gagner la rive droite que l\u2019on suit un court instant. Apr\u00e8s un nouveau franchissement sur une passerelle suspendue, on se retrouve \u00e0 nouveau sur le trac\u00e9 originel, sur le tron\u00e7on traversant un \u00e9peron rocheux \u00e0 travers un tunnel. Plus bas, une passerelle permet \u00e0 nouveau de franchir le torrent pour permettre de rejoindre la rive droite que l\u2019on ne quittera qu\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019embouchure du Tr\u00fcebenbach. En regardant attentivement l\u2019autre rive, on reconna\u00eet encore \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0 des restes de l\u2019ancien sentier. Apr\u00e8s avoir encore une fois chang\u00e9 de rive, on atteint un chemin plus large et on franchit encore deux fois l\u2019Aa sur des passerelles plus larges, car ce tron\u00e7on est autoris\u00e9 pour les v\u00e9los. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019en aval de l\u2019embouchure du Schiessibach que l\u2019on retrouve l\u2019itin\u00e9raire tel qu\u2019il \u00e9tait \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 un pont en pierre, on atteint Obermatt o\u00f9 se trouvait, jusqu\u2019en 2010, l\u2019arr\u00eat de service du train \u00e0 cr\u00e9maill\u00e8re pour Engelberg, avant que celui-ci n\u2019entame la mont\u00e9e \u00e0 246 pour mille. On avait alors la possibilit\u00e9 de monter ou descendre du train \u00e0 cet endroit. Lors de l\u2019inauguration du tunnel, les voies et la halte ont \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement d\u00e9mont\u00e9s.<\/p>

La suite de la randonn\u00e9e s\u2019effectue le long de bons chemins, parfois goudronn\u00e9s avant d\u2019arriver \u00e0 Wolfenschiessen. Sous la ferme de Reinerz, se trouvait jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1990 une tr\u00e8s belle for\u00eat. Celle-ci a subit la destruction de la temp\u00eate Lothar en 1998, ainsi que les inondations de 2005.<\/p>
