Faudrait-il dire La Neuve ou l\u2019A Neuve\u00a0? Je n\u2019ai pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 trouver une explication plausible. Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, le sommet se trouvant juste \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de ce chalet vaut un petit d\u00e9tour, car il est surprenant. Lorsque l\u2019on gravit le Cr\u00eat de la Neuve, la vue est souvent cach\u00e9e par les arbres et on d\u00e9sesp\u00e8re de pouvoir contempler le L\u00e9man et les Alpes. Ce n\u2019est que dans les derniers m\u00e8tres que l\u2019on d\u00e9passe le sommet des arbres et que la vue se d\u00e9gage compl\u00e8tement. A cause de cette vue, il s\u2019agit d\u2019un sommet assez fr\u00e9quent\u00e9.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de Saint-George, on a plusieurs possibilit\u00e9s, mais la plus simple consiste \u00e0 suivre la route menant \u00e0 la glaci\u00e8re et d\u2019emprunter alors un chemin forestier assez raide. On trouve alors un vague balisage vert. Si l\u2019on suit celui-ci, on passe par des endroits surprenants et tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents que lorsque l\u2019on suit le sentier officiellement balis\u00e9.<\/p>

Arriv\u00e9 au Petit Pr\u00e9 de Rolle, on suit le sentier officiel jusque dans la clairi\u00e8re sous le sommet. On peut alors gravir la raide pente sous le sommet. On ne tarde pas alors \u00e0 arriver au mur en rond sur lequel est fix\u00e9 une table d\u2019orientation. Il vaut \u00e9galement la peine d\u2019aller au sommet proprement dit, qui se trouve derri\u00e8re la table d\u2019orientation (l\u00e0 o\u00f9 se trouve la croix).<\/p>

Pour la descente, j\u2019avais opt\u00e9 de suivre la route passant par les Frasses. Dans un virage, il suffit alors d\u2019emprunter sur la gauche une autre route ramenant \u00e0 la route de la glaci\u00e8re et plus loin, au parking.<\/p>
