Entre le Col des Roches et la Br\u00e9vine, la fronti\u00e8re nationale suit un bon bout la cr\u00eate passant par le sommet du Meix Musy. Il existe \u00e9galement un sentier suivant la fronti\u00e8re entre Le Pr\u00e9voux et le Bas des Roussottes. Ce sentier n\u2019est probablement pas r\u00e9cent, hormis le balisage. Il devait probablement s\u2019agir du chemin emprunt\u00e9 par les gardes-fronti\u00e8res pour surveiller les passages par-dessus la fronti\u00e8re verte. Lorsque l\u2019on regarde sur la carte, on constate que certaines habitations se trouvent tr\u00e8s proches de la fronti\u00e8re et ce, des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s. Il devait donc \u00eatre relativement ais\u00e9 de s\u2019adonner \u00e0 toute sorte de trafics, sans parler, durant la derni\u00e8re guerre, du franchissement de la fronti\u00e8re par des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s.<\/p>

Le sentier, entre le Pr\u00e9voux et le Petit Gardot est inhabituellement balis\u00e9 en gris. Au premier abord, on pourrait croire que des balises officielles (donc en jaune, dans ce cas), ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recouvertes de peinture grise. Il n\u2019en est rien.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part du Pr\u00e9voux, il faut d\u2019abord suivre la route goudronn\u00e9e menant au Haut des Roussottes. Celle-ci fait un virage \u00e0 gauche et s\u2019engage dans un petit vallon remontant entre deux cr\u00eates. Peu apr\u00e8s \u00eatre entr\u00e9 dans la for\u00eat, un balisage indique qu\u2019il faut monter la c\u00f4te raide permettant de gagner la cr\u00eate la plus au nord. On arrive alors \u00e0 une premi\u00e8re borne avec, d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, les trois chevrons de l\u2019armoirie de Neuch\u00e2tel et de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, la fleur de lis.<\/p>

La suite se d\u00e9roule dans les sous-bois logeant la fronti\u00e8re \u00e0 quelques m\u00e8tres, une fois sur France, une fois sur Suisse. Apr\u00e8s le Haut des Roussottes, une petite grimp\u00e9e permet de gagner la cr\u00eate fronti\u00e8re. La suite se d\u00e9roule le long d\u2019une cr\u00eate un peu moins accident\u00e9e jusque vers la proximit\u00e9 du Meix Musy o\u00f9 une derni\u00e8re c\u00f4te doit \u00eatre grimp\u00e9e pour atteindre le sommet. Depuis cet endroit, on a une vue, un peu cach\u00e9e par les arbres, sur Villers-le-Lac.<\/p>

En descendant la cr\u00eate depuis le sommet on peut, \u00e0 la hauteur du Bas des Roussottes, emprunter un bon chemin forestier amenant sur la route goudronn\u00e9e et sur l\u2019itin\u00e9raire balis\u00e9. On suit alors cette route pour atteindre la premi\u00e8re maison des Roussottes. A sa hauteur s\u2019embranche un sentier p\u00e9destre permettant soit de rejoindre le Cerneux-P\u00e9quignod, soit le Pr\u00e9voux. Dans les deux cas, il faut monter un peu pour passer la cr\u00eate.<\/p>

En descendant de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, en arrivant \u00e0 B\u00e9tod, on remarquera un b\u00e2timent qui ressemble fort \u00e0 un \u00e9difice officiel (\u00e9cole ou autre) et qui abrite maintenant le temple zen de K\u00f4setsu-ji. Quelques inscriptions en Kanji sont l\u00e0 pour le mettre en \u00e9vidence.<\/p>

Plus loin, avant d\u2019arriver au Pr\u00e9voux, on traverse une for\u00eat dans laquelle on trouve quelques dolines remarquables.<\/p>
