<\/p>

Avant de parler de la randonn\u00e9e effectu\u00e9e ce jour-l\u00e0, il faut pr\u00e9ciser un point par rapport \u00e0 cette destination. Le Vully est d\u2019abord une r\u00e9gion couvrant les deux cantons de Fribourg et de Vaud. C\u2019est ainsi que lorsque l\u2019on fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux vins du Vully, il s\u2019agit toujours de savoir s\u2019il s\u2019agit du vignoble vaudois ou du fribourgeois. Le Vully est \u00e9galement une colline appel\u00e9e Mont Vully, colline qui est charg\u00e9e d\u2019histoire et de l\u00e9gendes. Historiquement, le Mont Vully a \u00e9t\u00e9 occup\u00e9 d\u00e8s le m\u00e9solithique et a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 jusque dans l\u2019histoire moderne \u00e0 cause de sa position strat\u00e9gique. Le Mont Vully est \u00e9galement le lieu d\u2019un certain nombre de l\u00e9gendes puisque l\u2019on pr\u00e9tend qu\u2019\u00e0 son sommet avaient lieu des \u00ab\u00a0chettes\u00a0\u00bb, donc des sabbats de sorciers.<\/p>

Situ\u00e9 entre les lacs de Morat et de Neuch\u00e2tel, le Mont Vully, malgr\u00e9 le fait qu\u2019il soit d\u2019altitude modeste, offre de beaux points de vue sur les Alpes et le Jura. De plus, les curiosit\u00e9s qui s\u2019y trouvent permettent d\u2019effectuer de jolies randonn\u00e9es \u00e0 la fois contemplatives et culturelles.<\/p>

Le point de d\u00e9part id\u00e9al pour cette randonn\u00e9e se trouve \u00e0 Sugiez que l\u2019on peut facilement atteindre en train. Depuis la gare, il suffit alors de traverser le Canal de la Broye pour atteindre le centre du village. C\u2019est depuis le centre que commence l\u2019ascension du Mont Vully. Il s\u2019agit pour cela de monter d\u2019abord dans le vignoble pour traverser \u00e0 flanc de coteau et rejoindre la petite combe du Vau de Nant.<\/p>

A partir de l\u00e0, on continue en direction de Plan Ch\u00e2tel en traversant par alternance des pr\u00e9s et des for\u00eats. A Plan Ch\u00e2tel, on se trouve non loin du point culminant. Le toponyme de Plan Ch\u00e2tel n\u2019est pas tout \u00e0 fait surprenant, puisque qu\u2019un oppidum helv\u00e8te se trouvait au sommet de la colline. A cet endroit, on b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie en effet d\u2019une vue panoramique sur toute la r\u00e9gion. Et ce d\u2019autant plus qu\u2019il faut s\u2019imaginer qu\u2019aux temps recul\u00e9s, il ne devait pas y avoir d\u2019arbres cachant la vue. C\u2019est \u00e9galement la raison pour laquelle l\u2019endroit a \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9nag\u00e9 durant les deux derni\u00e8res guerres mondiales. Am\u00e9nag\u00e9, ou r\u00e9am\u00e9nag\u00e9, faudrait-il dire, puisque les travaux ont d\u00fb, par endroits bouleverser les vestiges anciens. Mais qui se souciait alors de l\u2019histoire ancienne\u00a0?<\/p>

Pour la suite de la randonn\u00e9e, il faut suivre les indications et les balises pour aller en direction de Cudrefin. On doit alors suivre un tron\u00e7on de la route goudronn\u00e9e avant de plonger dans la for\u00eat. On traverse ensuite \u00e0 flanc de coteau dans les sous-bois pour rejoindre la Pierre Agassiz. Ce bloc erratique est \u00e9galement nomm\u00e9 le \u00ab\u00a0Palet Roulant\u00a0\u00bb. En effet, comme dans beaucoup de l\u00e9gendes similaires, ce gros bloc ferme l\u2019entr\u00e9e d\u2019un monde souterrain, ou d\u2019un tr\u00e9sor en d\u2019autres lieux, bloc qui ne se d\u00e9place pour d\u00e9gager l\u2019ouverture qu\u2019\u00e0 un moment pr\u00e9cis (pleine lune, veill\u00e9e de No\u00ebl, \u2026) et durant un court moment. Gare \u00e0 celui qui s\u2019y aventurerait et s\u2019y attarderait trop longtemps. C\u2019\u00e9tait, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, un moyen d\u2019\u00e9duquer la population afin qu\u2019elle ne se montre pas trop curieuse.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s le bloc erratique, on continue un bout pour, plus loin, quitter l\u2019itin\u00e9raire pour Cudrefin et monter en direction de la Fin des Fourches. Sur la colline, on atteint alors un site avec des explicatifs concernant les constructions datant de la premi\u00e8re guerre mondiale. M\u00eame si les panneaux explicatifs, avec photos, laissent une impression de nonchalance, il ne faudrait pas oublier que l\u2019on se souciait peu du confort de la troupe \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. M\u00eame si une majeure partie de la troupe \u00e9tait issue d\u2019un milieu rural et pauvre, les conditions de vie qu\u2019il leurs \u00e9tait impos\u00e9es, feraient scandale aujourd\u2019hui. N\u2019y voyez pas de regrets dans mes propos, mais je pense encore \u00e0 mes anc\u00eatres qui avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 mobilis\u00e9s.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s avoir entam\u00e9 la descente et travers\u00e9 la route, on passe devant les \u00ab\u00a0Grottes des Roches Grises\u00a0\u00bb. Ces grottes sont en fait des restes de fortifications qui avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 taill\u00e9es dans le gr\u00e8s durant la premi\u00e8re guerre mondiale. On peut s\u2019y aventurer et observer les travaux qui avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9s durant cette p\u00e9riode. Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre descendu un chemin raide et raboteux, on rejoint le chemin traversant le vignoble \u00e0 flanc de coteau. Il suffit alors de suivre celui-ci pour retrouver l\u2019itin\u00e9raire de d\u00e9part.<\/p>
