Die Combe-Gr\u00e8de ist ein erstaunlicher Ort. Abgesehen von der Tatsache, dass es sich um ein Naturschutzgebiet und einen eidgen\u00f6ssischen Jagdbanngebiet handelt, und somit ein Schutzgebiet, bietet der Weg, der die Combe hinauff\u00fchrt, viele \u00dcberraschungen. Denn an mehreren Stellen, wenn man die Schlucht hinaufsteigt, ist der Verlauf des Weges nicht klar erkennbar. Manchmal f\u00fchlt man sich wie in einer Sackgasse, wie in einem felsigen Zirkus un\u00fcberwindlicher Mauern. Und erst wenn man am Fuss der Mauern steht, wird klar, was als N\u00e4chstes geschieht.<\/p>

Vor vier Jahren, als ich zum ersten Mal die Combe-Gr\u00e8de bestieg, war der Weg noch nicht f\u00fcr die Saison eingerichtet. Im Winter werden die Br\u00fcstungen abgebaut, um Sch\u00e4den zu vermeiden. Damals war auf den Karten die Sperrung des Weges noch nicht deutlich angegeben. Das hat sich nach einigen tragischen Unf\u00e4llen ge\u00e4ndert.<\/p>

Um die Unterseite der Combe-Gr\u00e8de zu erreichen, hat man die Wahl, entweder von Villeret oder von Saint-Imier aus zu starten. Beide Alternativen sind gleichwertig, aber ich bevorzuge diese von Saint-Imier aus, da zwei Z\u00fcge pro Stunde dort halten, gegen\u00fcber einem in Villeret.<\/p>

Vom Bahnhof Saint-Imier beginnt man mit dem Abstieg, um die Suze neben der Manufaktur Les Longines zu \u00fcberqueren. Es folgt eine Hangquerung, die es erm\u00f6glicht, den unteren Teil der Combe-Gr\u00e8de zu erreichen. Von dieser Stelle aus beginnt eine Schlucht, wo der Pfad nah beim Bachbett f\u00fchrt. Da dieser oft trocken ist, ist das kein Problem. Bei Hochwasser k\u00f6nnte es sehr schnell unangenehm werden.<\/p>

Nach einiger Zeit erreicht man eine Stelle, an der sich die Schlucht verbreitert. Der Pfad steigt dann steiler hinauf, um die erste Schwierigkeit zu erreichen. Eine erste kleine Leiter deutet darauf, dass es etwas ernster wird. Weiter oben gibt es zwei grosse Leitern, die es erm\u00f6glichen, den Talboden bis zum Fuss der W\u00e4nde zu erklimmen, bevor man nach links geht, um \u00fcber Spitzkehren nach oben zu gelangen. Man geht zur\u00fcck in den hinteren Teil der Schlucht, bevor man wieder nach links geht. Nach den letzten Spitzkehren \u00e4ndern sich die Schwierigkeit und die Stimmung schlagartig, kurz bevor man der Pr\u00e9 aux Auges erreicht.<\/p>

Wenn man weiter in Richtung S\u00fcden geht, steigt man weiter das T\u00e4lchen hinauf und erreicht die Strasse des Col du Chasseral, kurz unterhalb der M\u00e9tairie de Saint-Jean. Man kreuzt zweimal die Strasse, bevor man bergauf zu einem kleinen Pass in der N\u00e4he des H\u00f4tel du Chasseral quert. Dann ist der Gipfel des Chasseral leicht zu erkennen: er befindet sich am Fusse des gewaltigen Turms. Um ihn zu erreichen, kann man ohne Weiteres der asphaltierten Strasse folgen, da der motorisierte Verkehr hier verboten ist.<\/p>

Um vom Chasseral nach La Neuveville abzusteigen, muss man zuerst zum H\u00f4tel du Chasseral zur\u00fcckkehren, indem man den Weg folgt, der bei die M\u00e9tairie de Neuveville f\u00fchrt. Dieser Weg durchquert einen Wechsel von W\u00e4ldern und Weiden, um die Moulin Navilot und Ligni\u00e8res zu erreichen. Unterhalb des Dorfes steigt man in die Combe de Ligni\u00e8res ein, die \u00fcber einen Kilometer sanft bergab geht. Wenn die Steigung steiler wird, \u00e4ndert sich der Name in Combe du Pilouvi und ein sch\u00f6ner Weg folgt dem Ruisseau de Vaux. Normalerweise kann man einige sch\u00f6ne Wasserf\u00e4lle bewundern. Hier war der Bach trocken und die Stimmung war weniger malerisch.<\/p>

Unterhalb des Schlossbergs durchquert man die Weinberge und erreicht die Altstadt von La Neuveville. Man betritt sie unter der Zytglogge. Nachdem man die Altstadt \u00fcber die Rue du March\u00e9 durchquert hat, kommt man durch das wundersch\u00f6ne Tor des Turms de Rive wieder heraus. Dieser befindet sich nur wenige Schritte vom Bahnhof La Neuveville.<\/p>
