Ich habe viele Erinnerungen an Magglingen, da ich dort in meiner Jugend im Rahmen von Trainingslager viel Zeit verbracht habe. Ich habe auch einige Erinnerungen an die Hohmatt, einen Bauernhof, der, wie so oft in der Region, in ein Restaurant umgewandelt wurde. Nur einmal hatte ich die H\u00f6hen \u00fcberquert, aber dann bin ich die Twannbachschlucht hinuntergegangen, um mit dem Schiff nach Biel zur\u00fcckzukehren.<\/p>

Im Laufe der Jahre sagte ich mir, dass es Spass machen w\u00fcrde, die Wanderung, die ich damals gemacht hatte, auch nur teilweise zu wiederholen. Hier beschloss ich, zu Fuss nach Neuenstadt hinunterzugehen. Dabei hatte ich die M\u00f6glichkeit, falls das Wetter wirklich schlecht wurde mit der Pr\u00e4gels-Standseilbahn hinunterzufahren.<\/p>

Magglingen ist ganz einfach zu erreichen: Nehmen Sie einfach die Standseilbahn, die von Biel aus startet. Um die Talstation zu erreichen, haben Sie die Wahl, zu Fuss dorthin zu gehen oder den Bus zu nehmen. Alles in allem ist die Zeit, die man ben\u00f6tigt, um die Talstation zu erreichen, wenn man die Wartezeit auf den Bus ber\u00fccksichtigt, in etwa gleich. Es h\u00e4ngt alles davon ab, ob Sie laufen m\u00f6chten oder nicht. Hier hatte ich mich angesichts der Wanderung, die mich erwartete, f\u00fcr den Bus entschieden.<\/p>

Bei der Bergstation gehen Sie zun\u00e4chst hinter die Verwaltungsgeb\u00e4ude des Eidgen\u00f6ssischen Sportzentrums und folgen einen asphaltierten Fussweg. Dieser Weg m\u00fcndet bei der alten Sporthalle. Von hier aus kann man der Strasse in einer Kurve folgen, um zur Hohmatt zu gelangen (dieser Strasse folgten wir, als wir abends in dieses Restaurant gingen). Es ist jedoch besser, dem markierten Weg zu folgen, der den Wald durchquert und etwas weiter oben auf die Strasse trifft. Nach der Hohmatt geht es noch ein St\u00fcck weiter hinauf zum Waldhaus, das ebenfalls zum Sportzentrum geh\u00f6rt. Dieser Ort ist der H\u00f6hepunkt der gesamten Wanderung.<\/p>

Nachdem wir eine Reihe von W\u00e4ldern und Weiden durchquert haben, erreichen wir Lamboing und von hier aus steigen wir in Richtung Twannbachtal ab. Der Abstieg erfolgt \u00fcber einen herrlichen gepflasterten Weg. Am Talgrund angekommen, in der N\u00e4he alter M\u00fchlen, m\u00fcssen Sie den Bach \u00fcberqueren und die gegen\u00fcberliegenden H\u00e4nge hinaufsteigen, um den Wald in der N\u00e4he von Pr\u00e4gels zu erreichen.<\/p>

Im Dorf Pr\u00e4gels k\u00f6nnen Sie mit der Standseilbahn nach Ligerz hinunterfahren. Dies kann eine interessante Variante sein, wenn Sie zu m\u00fcde sind. In meinem Fall stieg ich weiter in Richtung eines kleinen Passes in der N\u00e4he der P\u00e2turage du Haut. Von dort aus geht man einfach hinunter in Richtung Neuenstadt. Dabei kommen man unweit des Velou-Brunnens vorbei, einem grossen Becken, das aus einer Quelle gef\u00fcllt wird. Man geht hinter dem Envers de Ch\u00e2tillon vorbei (gab es dort ein antikes Oppidum? Der Name l\u00e4sst es vermuten) und in der N\u00e4he des Galgens vorbei.<\/p>

Nach dem langen Abstieg dauert es nicht lange, bis man \u00fcber den alten Faubourg und der Tour Rouge in der Stadt Neuveville ankommt. Um zum Bahnhof zu gelangen, durchqueren Sie die pr\u00e4chtige Altstadt und erreichen den Bahnhof durch die Tour de Rive.<\/p>
