Quelques itin\u00e9raires int\u00e9ressants franchissent la cha\u00eene du Jura Neuch\u00e2telois et certains ont une histoire passionnante. M\u00eame s\u2019ils n\u2019ont pas l\u2019importance historique tels que le Col des Etroits ou du Col de Jougne, ils ont cependant jou\u00e9 et jouent parfois encore un r\u00f4le important. Ainsi, la Vue des Alpes, qui doit son nom \u00e0 l\u2019auberge homonyme qui y avait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9e, rev\u00eat encore de nos jours un r\u00f4le pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rant pour les \u00e9changes entre le haut et le bas du canton. Il serait cependant r\u00e9ducteur de faire de la Vue des Alpes le seul passage historique entre les montagnes neuch\u00e2teloises et la rive du lac. En effet, un autre itin\u00e9raire a eu une importance non n\u00e9gligeable par le pass\u00e9\u00a0: celui qui relie le Val de Ruz au Locle en passant par la Vall\u00e9e de la Sagne et des Ponts. Cet itin\u00e9raire franchit la premi\u00e8re cr\u00eate au col sous la T\u00eate de Ran, anciennement appel\u00e9 le Col de la Sauge.<\/p>

C\u2019est cet itin\u00e9raire que nous avions suivi en partant du Locle afin de rejoindre les Hauts-Geneveys.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de la gare du Locle, il s\u2019agit d\u2019abord de descendre vers la ville. Il serait tentant d\u2019utiliser le funiculaire, nomm\u00e9 le Remontoir, mais il est plus int\u00e9ressant d\u2019utiliser le Passage des Cent Pas, descendant entre les maisons de la rue de la Gare. Une fois la ville travers\u00e9e, on doit alors remonter en direction du Communal en empruntant le chemin de l\u2019Argillat. Malgr\u00e9 le fait que ce dernier soit assez raide, il fait partie de l\u2019itin\u00e9raire historique, car il permettait, et permet encore, monter de la ville au plus court.<\/p>

Une fois atteint le Communal, on doit suivre un bon bout la route menant \u00e0 Entre Deux Monts. Par chance, celle-ci n\u2019est pas trop fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e, mais on doit quand m\u00eame marcher sur du goudron. Arriv\u00e9 pr\u00e8s d\u2019un ancien restaurant, une trace part \u00e0 travers les p\u00e2turages et permet de couper le lacet que fait la route de la Sagne. On arrive ainsi \u00e0 un petit col o\u00f9 on retrouve la route. Heureusement, le sentier ne suit pas celle-ci, mais coupe \u00e0 travers bois jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la hauteur de la carri\u00e8re. Peu de temps apr\u00e8s, on atteint le village de La Sagne.<\/p>

Une fois que l\u2019on a rejoint la gare, on part un bout en direction de la Corbati\u00e8re pour bifurquer dans une petite route menant au stade de football de la Sagne. On suit alors le Grand Bied un bout avant de s\u2019engager dans une gorge qui d\u00e9bouche sur la Combe des Quignets. On doit alors de monter cette combe, longue et assez monotone, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 arriver au Mont Dar.<\/p>

Depuis cet endroit, une petite mont\u00e9e et une travers\u00e9e permet de gagner le Col de la Sauge. Celui-ci d\u00e9bouche sur le Val de Ruz. Il suffit alors de suivre le sentier balis\u00e9, qui longe un bout l\u2019itin\u00e9raire historique, afin d\u2019arriver au d\u00e9part de l\u2019ancien t\u00e9l\u00e9ski. On est alors tout proche du village des Hauts-Geneveys et de sa gare.<\/p>
