Macolin est pour moi une vieille connaissance, \u00e0 cause de la haute \u00e9cole f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de sport. J\u2019y avait pass\u00e9 quelques s\u00e9jours d\u2019entra\u00eenement alors que j\u2019\u00e9tais beaucoup plus jeune. Je sais donc que le panorama que l\u2019on a depuis cet endroit, en particulier la terrasse du b\u00e2timent principal, est absolument magnifique. Il faut dire que l\u2019on se trouve suffisamment haut au-dessus du plateau et que l\u2019on est pratiquement en face des sommets mythiques des Alpes Bernoises.<\/p>

Macolin s\u2019atteint facilement depuis Bienne, puisqu\u2019un funiculaire am\u00e8ne non loin des anciens b\u00e2timents administratifs de la haute \u00e9cole. A cause de la vue et de la facilit\u00e9 d\u2019acc\u00e8s, cet endroit est un point de d\u00e9part id\u00e9al pour effectuer des randonn\u00e9es. On peut, par exemple, monter \u00e0 la Hohmatt et en passant par les Pr\u00e9s de Macolin, rejoindre la Montagne de Diesse. C\u2019est ce que j\u2019avais effectu\u00e9 au mois de janvier.<\/p>

Ici toutefois nous avons suivi le sentier qui part des anciens b\u00e2timents administratifs et court \u00e0 flanc de coteau pour rejoindre Twannberg. On peut alors b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier, \u00e7\u00e0 et l\u00e0, de beaux points de vue sur le plateau. Toutefois, le fait que l\u2019on \u00e9volue en bonne partie \u00e0 travers for\u00eat, limite un peu la vue. Il vaut donc la peine, comme dans notre cas, d\u2019entreprendre cette randonn\u00e9e au printemps, avant que les arbres aient d\u00e9bourr\u00e9s.<\/p>

En arrivant \u00e0 Twannberg, on passe devant un centre de vacances \u00e0 l\u2019aspect futuriste. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un centre construit dans les ann\u00e9es 80 afin d\u2019accueillir des handicap\u00e9s en vacances. Il est dor\u00e9navant possible de louer une partie du centre.<\/p>

Un peu plus loin, on descend le long d\u2019un chemin magnifiquement pav\u00e9. M\u00eame si on voit des traces d\u2019orni\u00e8res sur les pierres, il semblerait que le pavage ne remonte pas \u00e0 tr\u00e8s loin.<\/p>

Un peu plus bas, on passe devant un ancien moulin qui comprend d\u00e9sormais une verrerie o\u00f9 l\u2019on peut apprendre \u00e0 manier le verre fondu.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 le Twannbach, on suit d\u2019abord un bout de chemin forestier (officiellement appel\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0route de Lamboing\u00a0\u00bb) pour suivre, \u00e0 une bifurcation, un sentier s\u2019approchant du ruisseau. On peut alors suivre au mieux le ruisseau, les am\u00e9nagements permettant de parcourir la gorge en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9. A la sortir des gorges, un petit cabanon se trouve o\u00f9 l\u2019on vous demandera de vous acquitter d\u2019un petit montant pour le parcours (et l\u2019entretien) du chemin des gorges.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s une raide descente et la travers\u00e9e du vieux village de Douanne, on ne tarde pas \u00e0 rejoindre la gare.<\/p>
