Der Weg der Revolution bezieht sich auf die Neuenburger Revolution vom 1. M\u00e4rz 1848, die den R\u00fcckzug der Royalisten des preussischen K\u00f6nigs und die Gr\u00fcndung der neuen Republik mit sich brachte. Am 29. Februar (also Schaltjahr) verl\u00e4sst eine Aufstandsbewegung Locle, um nach Neuenburg zu marschieren. Am 1. M\u00e4rz wird das Schloss ohne Blutvergiessen von eingenommen.<\/p>

Der Weg der Revolution nimmt zum Teil den Weg wieder, den die Revolution\u00e4re eingeschlagen hatten, allerdings mit einem Haken in Richtung Scarpineau (ich bezweifle, dass die Revolution\u00e4re sich zu diesem Aussichtspunkt begeben h\u00e4tten: sie hatten noch andere Katzen zu peitschen!).<\/p>

Der Weg der Revolution ist ein grosses St\u00fcck f\u00fcr diejenigen, die ihn an einem Tag begehen wollen. Der Tag betr\u00e4gt 35Km f\u00fcr 890 H\u00f6henmeter. Daher empfiehlt es sich, Teile des Weges zu wandern, die in Bezug auf Entfernung und H\u00f6henunterschied besser geeignet sind. Dies wird \u00fcbrigens auch auf der Seite von Neuch\u00e2tel Rando angeboten. Hier hatten wir das letzte St\u00fcck der Via Revolutionaire zur\u00fcckgelegt, zwischen Les Hauts-Geneveys und Neuch\u00e2tel.<\/p>

Auch wenn man einem Teil des historischen Weges folgt, wird das Vergn\u00fcgen dadurch getr\u00fcbt, dass man ziemlich nah an der Strasse entlanggeht, die die Vue des Alpes \u00fcberquert. Der L\u00e4rm ist also gross, besonders wenn man die Gorges du Seyon durchquert, obwohl man sich dann am anderen Ufer befindet.<\/p>

An jenem Tag war das Wetter am Morgen unsicher und so erreichten wir Les Hauts-Geneveys bei str\u00f6mendem Regen. Deshalb fuhren wir mit dem Zug weiter nach Genevey-sur-Coffrane, um festzustellen, dass das Wetter besser wurde. Also nahmen wir den Zug zur\u00fcck nach Les Hauts-Geneveys, wo w\u00e4hrend der Zeit f\u00fcr einen Kaffee, das Wetter viel besser wurde.<\/p>

Das erste Teilst\u00fcck der Route ist nicht besonders interessant, da es \u00fcber asphaltierte Strassen nach Boudevilliers f\u00fchrt. Von dieser Ortschaft aus muss man noch einen Moment auf einer asphaltierten Strasse folgen, bevor man einen befahrbaren Weg nach Valangin folgt. Anstatt geradeaus durch Valangin zu gehen, lohnt es sich, einen kurzen Blick auf die Kirche und das Schloss zu werfen.<\/p>

Von Valangin aus \u00fcberquert man den Seyon, um auf der anderen Seite an H\u00f6he zu gewinnen und die Schluchten des Seyon zu durchqueren. Man folgt dann Abschnitten von Wegen, die von den Karren, die diese Route nehmen sollten, gerillt sind.<\/p>

Am Ende der Gorges du Seyon taucht man in Richtung des Baches ab, den man \u00fcberquert, um zu einem Komplex alter M\u00fchlen zu gelangen. Der Ort ist sehr einsam und man vermutet, dass er von grosser Bedeutung gewesen sein muss, da der Seyon fast immer Wasser bringt. Weiter, und nachdem man das kleine Tal verlassen hat, erreicht man die wundersch\u00f6ne Stiftskirche. Man ist dann nicht weit von der Place de Pury oder dem Bahnhof entfernt.<\/p>
