<\/p>

Les noms des sommets dans les Alpes sont parfois tr\u00e8s repr\u00e9sentatifs de leur forme. Ainsi, il existe, dans bien des endroits, des sommets appel\u00e9s \u00ab\u00a0Le Ch\u00e2teau\u00a0\u00bb. Cela ne provient pas d\u2019une construction humaine, mais est li\u00e9 \u00e0 la forme de la montagne, pr\u00e9sentant de grandes parois rocheuses, ressemblant \u00e0 une muraille. Le First, qui se situe entre les vall\u00e9es de l\u2019Entschlige et de la Kander et qui signifie litt\u00e9ralement le fa\u00eete, n\u2019\u00e9chappe pas \u00e0 cette r\u00e8gle. En effet, ce sommet se pr\u00e9sente comme une longue ar\u00eate avec deux versants, ressemblant \u00e0 un toit \u00e0 deux pans.<\/p>

Il y a de cela pratiquement trente ans, j\u2019avais gravi ce sommet en partant de l\u2019Allmenalp et en redescendant sur Kandersteg en passant par l\u2019alpage de Golitsche. C\u2019est pourquoi que nous avions envisag\u00e9 de gravir ce sommet \u00e0 nouveau, mais cette fois ci, en partant de l\u2019Elsigenalp pour redescendre sur l\u2019Allmenalp.<\/p>

Pour rejoindre l\u2019Elsigenalp, nous avions emprunt\u00e9 le t\u00e9l\u00e9ph\u00e9rique. Toutefois, pour rejoindre la station de d\u00e9part, nous nous \u00e9tions rendus en bus jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Achsete, o\u00f9 un autre petit bus nous avait pris en charge.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part de l\u2019Elsigenalp, le sentier est identique \u00e0 celui menant au sommet de l\u2019Elsighorn. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019Obere Elsige que le sentier se d\u00e9tache pour passer un petit vallon menant au Golitschepass. Depuis cet endroit, on a une vue plongeante sur Kandersteg. A partir du col, au lieu de descendre vers Golitsche, on repart le long d\u2019une cr\u00eate avant de traverser une vire assez a\u00e9rienne sous le Stand. Ce faisant, on peut monter le long de l\u2019autre cr\u00eate du Stand pour y gagner son sommet.<\/p>

Depuis le Stand, on descend un peu avant de monter en travers\u00e9e sous le Howang. Quelques passages rocheux n\u00e9cessitent de l\u2019attention et c\u2019est sous le sommet du First que les choses deviennent un peu plus s\u00e9rieuses. Cependant, des c\u00e2bles aident \u00e0 la progression.<\/p>

Le sommet du First, en forme d\u2019ar\u00eate, n\u2019offre pas beaucoup de place. Mais la vue depuis le sommet est remarquable.<\/p>

La descente s\u2019effectue par un sentier balis\u00e9 assez d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able parfois, car la neige entra\u00eene la terre au printemps et conduit \u00e0 ce que le trac\u00e9 du sentier est tr\u00e8s inclin\u00e9. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019alpage de Steintal que la pente se calme un peu (m\u00eame si le sentier traverse des pentes assez raides).<\/p>

Depuis l\u2019Allmenalp, on peut soit descendre \u00e0 pied \u00e0 Kandersteg en passant par le chalet de Ryharts. On peut \u00e9galement emprunter le t\u00e9l\u00e9ph\u00e9rique descendant directement vers B\u00fctschels. C\u2019est cette option que nous avions choisie.<\/p>
