<\/p>

Voici une randonn\u00e9e que nous avions l\u2019habitude de faire souvent. Habitant dor\u00e9navant dans une autre r\u00e9gion, nous avions \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir de nouvelles destinations, abandonnant par l\u00e0 nos habitudes. Toutefois, ce jour-l\u00e0, nous avions envie d\u2019y retourner.<\/p>

Le Col de Jaman est un col historique car il permet de relier le plus directement la Gruy\u00e8re depuis la r\u00e9gion de Vevey. Comme Vevey \u00e9tait un endroit o\u00f9 la marchandise, en particulier le fromage, \u00e9tait charg\u00e9e sur des barques afin d\u2019\u00eatre transport\u00e9e \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, le Col de Jaman permettait, sans trop de d\u00e9tours d\u2019atteindre les rives du L\u00e9man. C\u2019est la raison pour laquelle le sentier se pr\u00e9sente, \u00e0 quelques exceptions pr\u00e8s, comme un bon chemin muletier.<\/p>

Au d\u00e9part des Avants, il faut d\u2019abord emprunter la raide route menant \u00e0 Jor. Attention ici \u00e0 ne pas partir trop fort, car c\u2019est raide. Peu apr\u00e8s Jor, on quitte la route pour descendre quelque peu et traverser la Baye de Montreux. S\u2019ensuit une travers\u00e9e et un passage raide. Ce passage a d\u00fb \u00eatre am\u00e9nag\u00e9 par suite d\u2019\u00e9boulements ayant coup\u00e9 l\u2019ancien chemin muletier. Plus haut, lorsque l\u2019on est sortie de la partie raide, on retrouve le chemin muletier. Apr\u00e8s avoir travers\u00e9 deux fois la route, on ne tarde pas \u00e0 suivre celle-ci jusqu\u2019au Col de Jaman.<\/p>

Sur l\u2019autre versant, une route d\u2019alpage permet de descendre. Juste en-dessous du col, on ne manquera pas de remarquer une zone humide qui se transforme en petit lac lors de la fonte des neiges ou de fortes pr\u00e9cipitations.<\/p>

Tout en descendant, on passe devant les chalets de la Joux et des Cases. Tout en continuant, le vallon s\u2019ouvre un peu et arriv\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la Croix de Fer, nous avons suivi le sentier permettant de changer de rive et de monter \u00e0 Pierra Devant. Apr\u00e8s avoir suivi un bon chemin, nous sommes mont\u00e9s aux Mosses pour suivre la route d\u2019alpage passant par Boveresse. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter qu\u2019il y a quelques ann\u00e9es en arri\u00e8re, le sentier balis\u00e9 passait par l\u00e0. Dor\u00e9navant, les panneaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9mont\u00e9s et le balisage effac\u00e9. La raison m\u2019\u00e9chappe, car en discutant avec le paysan, celui-ci m\u2019a confirm\u00e9 que ce n\u2019avait rien \u00e0 voir avec des motifs de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 ou de servitude. Apparemment, on ne voulait plus \u00e0 avoir \u00e0 entretenir ce balisage.<\/p>

Depuis Boveresse, on suit un bout de route goudronn\u00e9e avant d\u2019emprunter un sentier passant par le Bourgoz. En-dessous de cette habitation, on peut voir des rainures creus\u00e9es par les charrettes qui transitaient par l\u00e0.<\/p>
