Die Orbe ist vor allem f\u00fcr seine H\u00f6hlen bekannt, die im Sommer bei grosser Hitze eine beliebte Touristenattraktion sind. Man kann n\u00e4mlich mit dem Auto bis in die N\u00e4he des H\u00f6hleneingangs fahren. Diese H\u00f6hlen geh\u00f6ren zusammen mit der benachbarten F\u00e9es-H\u00f6hle zu einem ganzen unterirdischen Netzwerk, dessen Teile noch nicht vollst\u00e4ndig erforscht sind.<\/p>

Als weitere, aber weniger bekannte Attraktion gibt es die Gorges de l\u2019Orbe. Diese erstreckt sich \u00fcber etwa 10 Kilometern zwischen Le Day und Orbe. Auch wenn man ein wenig M\u00fche hat, sie zu durchqueren, bietet sie im Sommer ein wenig Abk\u00fchlung. Der Weg durch die Gorges de l\u2019Orbe liegt auf der Via Francigena, einem Wanderweg, dessen Startpunkt in Canterbury und dessen Ziel in Rom liegt. Die Via Francigena f\u00fchrt durch die Schweiz und \u00fcberquert dabei den Grossen St. Bernhard.<\/p>

Die Tage bevor wir diese Wanderung unternommen haben, war von starkem Regen gepr\u00e4gt. So gab es viel Wasser und die Umgebung war besonders laut. An einigen Stellen war die Wassermenge besonders spektakul\u00e4r.<\/p>

Vom Bahnhof Le Day aus geht es einfach hinunter zum Staudamm von Day, wo der Wanderweg beginnt. Unterhalb des Staudamms folgt man dem linken Ufer der Orbe bis zur Elektrizit\u00e4tswerk L\u2019Ile, wo der Weg auf die andere Uferseite f\u00fchrt. Auf dem Weg entlang des rechten Ufers muss man manchmal durch kurze Stollen gehen. Man befindet sich dann hoch \u00fcber dem Bach, den man nicht direkt entlangl\u00e4uft.<\/p>

In Les Cl\u00e9es \u00fcberquert man die Orbe erneut, um durch das kleine Dorf, das am Fuss der gleichnamigen Burg liegt, hinaufzugehen. Nach Les Cl\u00e9es f\u00fchrt ein guter Waldweg, der dann in einen etwas wilderen Pfad \u00fcbergeht. Man befindet sich jedoch hoch \u00fcber dem Bach. An einer Stelle h\u00e4tten wir die M\u00f6glichkeit gehabt, erneut das Ufer zu wechseln und einen etwas luftigeren Pfad zu nehmen. Wir haben uns jedoch daf\u00fcr entschieden, weiterzugehen und an der Montcherand-H\u00f6hle vorbeizugehen. Diese H\u00f6hle ist eine wundersch\u00f6ne Balm, die leider durch Partys verschmutzt wird.<\/p>

Nach dem Vorbeigehen an einem Kraftwerk folgt man dem Bach auf der rechten Seite weiter, bis man die Sportanlage erreicht. Von dort aus f\u00fchrt ein kleiner Aufstieg ins mittelalterliche Zentrum von Orbe.<\/p>
