<\/p>

Dans le Niedersimmental se trouvent trois grottes que l\u2019on peut visiter. Une de celles-ci avait \u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00e9ticuleusement fouill\u00e9e et a permis la d\u00e9couverte d\u2019objets pr\u00e9historiques parmi les plus anciens du canton de Berne. Ces trois grottes se nomment le Zw\u00e4rgliloch (le trou au nain), le Schnurreloch (le trou qui ronronne) et le Mamilchloch (le trou du lait de lune). Pour leur visite, \u00e0 part le Zw\u00e4rgliloch, il faut passer par des pentes raides o\u00f9 des c\u00e2bles aident \u00e0 la progression.<\/p>

C\u2019est pour une tentative de visite de ces grottes que nous nous \u00e9tions rendus \u00e0 Oberwil im Simmental, point de d\u00e9part de la randonn\u00e9e. Une mauvaise surprise nous attendait puisque, contrairement \u00e0 ce que les pr\u00e9visions avaient annonc\u00e9es, il pleuvait encore. Le temps de monter \u00e0 Fahrniweiden et au pied des grottes, la pluie avait cess\u00e9. Cependant, le terrain \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s humide et c\u2019est la raison pour laquelle nous avions renonc\u00e9 \u00e0 monter aux deux grottes les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es\u00a0: le Mamilchloch et le Schnurreloch. Nous nous \u00e9tions donc content\u00e9s d\u2019une visite au Zw\u00e4rgliloch am\u00e9nag\u00e9e pour pouvoir y faire des grillades.<\/p>

Pour le retour, nous avions poursuivi le sentier qui ne tarde pas \u00e0 descendre sur la route menant \u00e0 Morgete. Ce faisant, nous avons pu emprunter le pont suspendu se trouvant au-dessus du Morgetebach et qui permet, sur l\u2019autre rive, de descendre dans la gorge par une succession d\u2019escaliers. Arriv\u00e9s au fond de la gorge, nous avons suivi le sentier passant par les anciens bains thermaux de Weissenburg. Le sentier, \u00e9troit au d\u00e9but, se mue en un bon chemin forestier passant par les deuxi\u00e8mes bains thermaux et rejoignant la gare de Weissenburg.<\/p>

L\u00e0, nous aurions pu prendre le train, mais nous avions envie de continuer encore un bout. C\u2019est ainsi que nous sommes descendus \u00e0 Weissenburg, travers\u00e9 la Simme pour en suivre la rive droite. On arrive alors \u00e0 un endroit appel\u00e9 Chloster (le couvent). C\u2019est \u00e0 cet endroit que nous avons retravers\u00e9 la Simme pour monter \u00e0 la gare de D\u00e4rstetten.<\/p>
