Vor einiger Zeit hatten wir Lust, der H\u00fcgel von Chaumont aus zu durchwandern. Ausserdem hatten wir von der Meridian-Messlatte des ehemaligen Zeitdienstes von Neuch\u00e2tel geh\u00f6rt und wollten uns das mal genauer anschauen.<\/p>

Also fuhren wir mit der Standseilbahn von der Coudre nach Chaumont. Diese Standseilbahn ist insofern besonders, als es keine zweite Kabine gibt, die als Gegengewicht dient. In diesem Fall handelt es sich um eine Standseilbahn, die von einer Seilwinde angetrieben wird. Wenn man weiss, dass die Strecke der Standseilbahn 2 km lang ist, kann man sich vorstellen, wie gross die Spule der Seilwinde ist.<\/p>

Von der Ankunft der Standseilbahn aus gingen wir zur Messelatte und wanderten dann wieder nach Chaumont, um von dort aus auf den H\u00fcgel zu steigen und zum Petit Chaumont zu gelangen. Der ganze Weg f\u00fchrt durch den Wald, so dass man nur selten Sicht auf die Schweizer Hochebene hat. Erst in Enges sieht man den Neuenburgersee und das Flachland. Leider muss man bald wieder durch den Wald, bevor man in Cressier ankommt, wo man zu niedrig ist, um eine freie Sicht zu haben.<\/p>

Der Trost ist, dass Cressier eine wundersch\u00f6ne kleine Ortschaft mit sehr alten Geb\u00e4uden ist.<\/p>
